There is a very good reason Hentley Farm was recently awarded South Australia’s restaurant of the year for 2016. Their food philosophy is simple, with a focus on fresh, abundant and quality produce, either foraged from their land or supplied by producers in the Barossa region. I am drawn to venues that are passionate, unique and assertive – Hentley Farm is a place of happiness and excitement, which provides a dining experience like no other.
There are two set menus; four courses, or seven courses, served with or without matching wine (matching wines is suggested for the full experience). Service exceeds all expectations, which in my books, is everything. The restaurant itself is fresh and modern, polished and elegant, making it a dream to shoot.
Both the pescatarian menu I received and the experience were extraordinary – one which I’ll remember for a long time to come.
